A Review of Mobile Applications’ Features for Pregnant Women's Self-care

Mobile applications have been proposed as a helpful tool to provide health-related information people, and this is more important in pregnancy-related mobile applications. This review study aimed investigate the features of Persian English apps for self-care pregnancy.This descriptive cross-sectional was done on all related pregnancy 2022. A search conducted Iranian digital app market (Bazaar) "Google Play", using following keywords: "pregnancy", "pregnant women", "obstetrics", their translations. For each app, extracted included name, user satisfaction rate, provided by app.The total number retrieved 416 apps. After removing duplicates applying inclusion criteria, 63 were selected extraction. Reviewing showed that most frequent categories items: childbirth (including timing contractions, fetal movement, symptoms predicting delivery time), restrictions limitations behavioral limits, sexual restrictions, smoking alcohol, cosmetics drug use during pregnancy), monitoring control tools (BMI Calculator, managing weight gain pregnancy, blood pressure).Paying attention pregnant women meeting needs could lead healthier generation. wide range are available with many capabilities. Considering women’s need these self-care, it seems essential develop design series high-quality matching women's needs.
